Email notifications are built into Rundeck Enterprise but require a SMTP server. Many companies don’t have one, or don’t want to setup and maintain an SMTP server, because they use Google or Microsoft 365 for their email. This brief demo shows a plugin we created that allows you to send email via the Rundeck GUI.
